I was happy to put together this mix for esteemed Naarm, Melbourne based DJ James Steer. Our connection was forged through the love of similar tastes through Soundcloud. For this mix the idea was to imagine playing to the tail end of an all nighter - last set of the night or morning when people are winding down. I included a bunch of records I have been slowly collecting together to record a deeper mix like this. For the second instalment of our somewhat irregular mix series, co-owners Drox and 16faces team up for a rare IRL session—recorded while crossing paths in Sydney over the Aussie summer break.
One of my fav parties so far this year!! Recorded live on January 1st, 2025 at The Lord Gladstone, Sydney Part of Got Music's : Mercury Strut NYD party. This b2b mix unfolds in 30-minute chunks, blending deep, rounded grooves, otherworldly synths, and lush sunny textures—including a few rare vinyl gems to kick off the year. Drox delivers choice house and Detroit deep cuts, while 16 Faces leans into UK garage, bass, and grimey-tinged flavours. A soulful, summery ride with just the right amount of grit. It’s a shift from our usual darker, more pensive sound—but a perfectly timed to the Euro summer on the horizon. Hope you enjoy the selections. Wow what a night! I played the late slot and brought a mix of old, recent and brand new breakbeat inspired vibes with some curveballs thrown in for good measure.
If you are in Sydney do make the effort to get down to check the party out. To find out more keep an eye on their Instagram You can hear the Dub Siren throughout the mix that was setup on the side of the dance floor and some of the more observant among the crowd had the chance to give it a nudge from time to time.

It is great to get out of the city from time to time and last years Trench party was so much fun I am honoured to be asked to play again.
TRENCH is held on a private property in a pristine forest in the Southern Highlands, near Bungonia National Park NSW. It is well worth making the effort to go and enjoy the wilderness with like minded people enjoying some deep techno and experimental sounds for the whole weekend with a solid lineup of some of Sydneys best DJ's Check out the last Trench podcast / radio show from Drox (1st 1/2) & Jansen Brown ahead of the party. Not long now.
Here is my recent guest mix for Tracklistings. It is a blend of Techno, Electro and Miami Bass tracks, new and old by Marco Bernardi, Alden Tyrell , Electro Nation, Scratch D, Mr De, Dj Assault among many others.. 
I was recently gifted a suitcase full of old cassette tapes and a twin deck from a friend who was moving overseas. I've managed to digitize and upload some of them, with more to come. It was great to reminisce about parties and local DJ's gone by, some still active today, with others I am unsure what they are up to these days. If you know please add a comment or send me a message.
