Great Southern Nights, in association with Seventy Seven and BNW Events present, 'Please Remain Seated'. An event series that aims to celebrate club culture while exploring the viability of club events in the wake of social distancing and venue restrictions
We're kicking off this event series in a big way with a showcase that focuses on two supremely talented live electronic acts, Phax Machine with special guest Drox. A deteriorating club scene and continued venue closures have heavily impacted live electronic artists by limiting their creative opportunities to perform and gain public exposure.
So please join us for what will surely be a uniquely special night of socially distanced, live electro, Friday 20th November at Club 77.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Phax Machine is a collaboration between Sydney-based producers Trinity and Analogue Resistance, who were brought together by their love of acid, techno and unrefined electro. Combining all these sounds and more into a potent and ever-evolving fusion, the duo brings a powerful and driving sound to the club in the form of a live set, utilising a versatile mix of new and old and digital and analogue technologies.
Drox has built his own niche as one of Sydney’s most distinctive and respected mavens of electronic music. A DJ, live act and producer, Drox has honed his sound and formidable production skills for over a decade, both solo and as part of the Analog Cabin collective, establishing a reputation as a stellar music maker, selector and collector with impeccable taste in beat science.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tickets are $49.00 and include a 2 hour complimentary drink package
*Due to optimal viewing limitations and the government mandated capacity and social distancing restrictions this event will be held over two sessions on the night with each session being limit to a maximum of 30 people.*
Friday 20th November 2020
Session #1: 7:00pm - 10:30pm
Session #2: 11:30pm - 3:00am
Tickets: $49.00 + bf (Ticket includes entry + 2 hour house spirits, beer, wine and cider drink package)
★Support the Scene Ticket Add-on Pack - $22.50★
Every support pack purchase includes:
1 x Custom designed commemorative event sweat towel (Available for collection on arrival)
1 x Artist rider contribution (you'll be supporting our thirsty artists with an extra beverage of their choice added to their rider)
1 x $5.00 Donation to supportact.org.au (Support Act is Australia’s only charity delivering crisis relief services to artists, crew and music workers)
1 x $2 Hospitality workers tip (your $2 tip will be added to a communal tip jar fund designated for our casual bartenders and floor staff)
Great Southern Nights is a new event to kick-start the recovery of the live music industry - featuring 1000 COVID-safe gigs across Sydney and Regional NSW throughout November 2020 (Australian Music Month). Great Southern Nights is a NSW Government Initiative, delivered by destination NSW in Partnership with ARIA. For more information please visit www.greatsouthernnights.com.au

Nightime Drama presents Hieroglyphic Being (Chicago/Live)

3/13/2019

I'm pretty excited to be playing alongside IV drip & Estée Louder before an epic liveset from Hieroglyphic Being on Friday night.
Come along it will be an excellent party with top shelf electronic music leaning towards the experimental side of things:

Hieroglyphic Being (Live) [Ninja Tune / Warp]
Drox
IV drip
Estée Louder

Headlining the night is a live set from Hieroglyphic Being, AKA Jamal Moss, one of the relatively unsung legends of the Chicago underground who’s been instrumental in keeping the Chi-Town sound alive for decades as DJ, promoter, radio host and experimental artist; his discography includes releases on Ghostly, Ninja Tune and Jeff Mills’s Axis Mission 6277. His fierce live sound takes acid back to its Chicago roots and into the future at the same time.

He’ll be supported by a trio of local heroes who will reinforce the night’s theme of bubbly acid, trippy synth experiments and hard-hitting drums: Analog Cabin co-founder and ledge Drox, IV Drip and Estée Louder (Control). It’s gonna be straight fire all night long!

It is great to get out of the city from time to time and last years Trench party was so much fun I am honoured to be asked to play again.

TRENCH is held on a private property in a pristine forest in the Southern Highlands, near Bungonia National Park NSW.

It is well worth making the effort to go and enjoy the wilderness with like minded people enjoying some deep techno and experimental sounds for the whole weekend with a solid lineup of some of Sydneys best DJ's

Check out the last Trench podcast / radio show from Drox (1st 1/2) & Jansen Brown ahead of the party. Not long now.

THE SPIRAL OPENING PARTY

6/8/2016

Felix has been invited to play a set on the SPIRAL tomorrow night.
Five turntables play samples on an endless loop, creating a sonic chaos that is simultaneously cut to vinyl.
There might be some synth / drum machine action in there too. Come join the party!
Picture
The Spiral will transform Carriageworks into an experimental sound recording studio and performance space. Visitors can manipulate looping beats and electronic sounds to record tracks on a vinyl-cutting machine.

The person who cuts the record becomes the main attraction, while people can observe the entire process from the seats that form a ring-like area called “The Spiral.”

SUBSONIC MUSIC FESTIVAL

11/6/2014

If you weren’t already planning on making the Subsonic Music Festival pilgrimage in 2014, let this change your mind. A month out from this year’s event, the boutique camping adventure has completed its line-up and the full list of names on the bill is long.
Scroll down and you can see everyone Subsonic’s rounded up for this December, from the already-announced likes of James Holden, Alexkid and Ellen Alien to new additions like Detriot native Mike Huckaby who I am very much looking forward to playing after on the River Stage on Friday night.

For Subsonic, the bill’s all about “fulfilling our ethos as one of the most musically-diverse and innovative festivals in Australia”.

All up, Subsonic will be bringing 150 acts over five stages to the Riverwood Downs Mountain Valley Resort, which is set a short 2.5 hour drive from Sydney. This year’s festival will go down from December 5-7, with tickets onsale now.
