We’re back, and this time, it’s extra special! Two of our Got Music crew, Jamie B and LP, are celebrating their Aquarian birthdays (born within 24 hours of Feb 1) with a FREE party at our favorite spot, The Lord Gladstone in Chippendale. Featuring Got Music regulars Sinclair, Drox, Anomie, and Jay White, plus the return of the gruesome twosome, the femmes with the funk—Midnight Siren and Sasha Soh—whose B2B New Year’s Day set was a crowd favourite. If you loved the vibes at our NYD Mercury Strut party, expect more of the same magic: an eclectic mix of Electro, Boogie, Underground House, Acid, Dub, Funk, Jazz, Soul, Footwork, Reggae, Detroit Techno, and more. Join us in the Gladdy courtyard for an unforgettable night filled with feel-good beats and the best characters in town. We couldn’t wait for the next big bash, so we’re throwing this pop-up NOW. When: Saturday, 1 February Where: The Lord Gladstone, Chippendale It’s been a bit of a crazy couple of months. I’m very grateful to all or our friends and family.
Highlights for the year were releasing more music via Delphic Iris Records including my Hexameter 12’ and playing at Gorgeous presents NYE on the roof of the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia and then backing it up with my Got Music, Analog Cabin crews for the Got Music present Mercury Strut - A New Year's Day Thing and to keep things interesting we had an interstate move north to the Gold Coast straight after. Thanks to everyone that danced, helped out or attended! |
Drox's music can be described as heavily influenced by electro and indeed, electro past and present in all it's forms is one of his primary inspirations. But that is only one part of the picture. Techno, house, dub, ambient, experimental and all manor of deep experimental music are integral to his sound, and it's not easy to file him under any one genre or any one style or mode of production.
